You

I look in your eyes and I only see me,

The way you look at me is something from movies.

You don't see my frizzy hair

or the freckles that decorate my face.

Instead you see kindness

and a heart that opens to everyone.

I wish that I could do the same,

but I just see the dark in me.

It isn't until you are here beside me

that the dark fades

and a light so bright shines through.

Without your wistful smile,

my heart falls.

Without your witty remarks,

my tongue remains silent.

Without you,

I fail to be me.

You are my everything
