You
She always talked about you.
And constantly tried to get us together.
If only we knew,
That good things do last forever.
It all started with a request.
After that, it all became a jumble.
But we talked about meeting and I confessed,
"I'm really nervous" in a mumble.
I was walking across the parking lot
When I saw you get out of your jeep.
Running through my mind were so many thoughts,
Including he's so sweet.
And when golfing and I was doing terrible,
You started to do awful as well
And acted like it was a miracle.
I gave you that look and you knew what it meant very well.
The next time we went out,
We were out late that night.
And we were out driving about,
When you drove straight through that red light.
As the dates went on,
And we grew closer;
We continued upon,
This road that made my heart skip a beat all over.
When we were laying in bed,
And you said, "I love you";
You leaned down and kissed my forehead.
And from that moment on, we were stuck like glue.
And when I played on your chest and cried,
You told me you would be there throughout;
And that's when I realized,
You are the one thing I can't live without.
