You
It's been 5 months,
three days,
and a lifetime since I lost you.
I always said that I couldn't live without you.
They say that there is someone out there for everyone,
someone that is your other half.
They forgot to mention that if your other half leaves you,
they take that half of you with them.
I am living half a life without you, the present,
and the past where you are.
I don't think you miss me,
or even think of me,
but every night I see you in my dreams and
I relive our memories and
sometimes we are happy and
I wake up and it's not true.
I would rather be on a deserted island with you
than be in civilization without you.
It's been five months,
three days,
and a lifetime without you,
and I don't think I can live without you,
I think I'll be okay.
