YOU
summer wind whips around me,
carries me out to the milky way.
i let you taste the light on my lips.
more depth in this kiss
than in that void; you are outer space.
who was I, who did I envision?
before the fog melted into your glassy sound
my reflection, finally echoed
you, me, too abysmal to ever know
in this life, make your depths my playground.
this love, as timeless as the sky-
my heart is nourished by your immortal sun
your ephemeral rains,
atmosphere’s embrace.
foster the fruit of my potential, teach me to blossom.
and shall I lose you to our fearsome transience,
I will find you, again, in the sands of time.
