You.

Your strength astounds me.

So much wisdom in a  body is amazing and I know you haven’t told me your whole story but even now I can see the past pain in your eyes.

It’s like looking through a magnifying glass to see the details.

The small parts that only those who have lived through it can recognize.

It’s beautiful.

Amazing, astounding even.

To see how much you’ve gone through to be the person you are today.

You’re my best friend, even if we’ve known each other for weeks, it feels like years. You’ve dealt with my sarcasm, my snide remarks and you understand.

You take me for me.

You hear the pain behind my words, the thoughts in my mind; even those I don’t express.

You disregard every “I’m fine” to search deeper for the truth.

You know the person I am because that’s who you once were.

Just know that I’ll take care of you, no matter what happens.

But please be prepared for my fragility.

One simple touch and I’ll shatter.
