You

I'm beginning to think I have no worth at all

After all the things you put me through

All I ever wanted was to bask in your happiness

Even if it was at the price of my own

I want to believe that no one is bad

And there is good to be found in all

But innocence only subjects a person to deceit

Genuine people are burying themselves

Nothing I did for you was ever enough

The tears that I cried were seen as selfishness

You,You,You,You

And I never even asked about me

Loving you is like dying slowly

Everyday started to become more routine

I guess I haven't done anything right

And I never gave you what you really needed

The fact of the matter is you cursed me with this guilt

This guilt that never seems to waver is due to you

I'm so stuck in your oversized shoes

Because I've taken your place and started blaming mysel

f Was I not worthy of your love?

Even after all that you put me through?

The screaming, the yelling, and calling me names

And I NEVER thought of leaving you

At the end I think we both knew it was time

I read the signs as you pulled away

You made sure to take me time and time again

Even though your feelings might have never even been there

So I must ask you one last question

Do you know you've destroyed someone?

Because I never even knew until it was over

Only then did I see you for what you were

This is probably the one of the most emotional poems I have ever written, and it wasn't easy. I feel much better now though. I hope you all enjoy it or at least identify with it in some way. This poem came from my soul.
