For you

I write to feel the world between my everreaching fingertips.

I write to love the earth under my barren feet.

I write to be heard by men and women with ears closed shut.

I write for elephants roaming in the dusty savannahs.

I write for oranges without a mouth to speak or a hand to write.

I write for the babies abandoned without the words to save them.

I write for not just me.

I write for you.
