You

The touch of your hand grasping at my body,

Butterflies tickling inside,

Wanting to pour out like the love I can no longer contain,

You!

Tears pooling down my face,

No!

Not from sadness.

No!

Tears from laughing so hard over the little nothings,

You!

Frolicking in the grass like when we were five,

Learning to live again.

You.

Times so dark,

I almost gave in.

You came when I needed you most,

Saved me from a despair so deep.

It was you!

A smile so genuine,

Almost forgot it existed.

Behind that broken heart,

Was something so great,

Something everyone wants,

Something everyone needs.

You!

I remember who I was,

Who I used to be,

What I wanted to come back.

It was you.

You brought me back.

You made my cloudy days go away.

You are me.

I am you.
