To you

There are so many things
I want to say to you,
But when you’re around
I don’t know how to.

The clock is ticking,
And I don’t understand why
I can't just walk up to you
And simply say, “Hi.”

I get so upset,
But never at you.
I get so upset,
that I’m afraid to.

Now I don’t know
What the future will hold,
But someday, I hope,
I’ll find courage to be bold.

Maybe someday,

But someday
Is a long ways away
Maybe someday
Is long after I die
and you hear these words,
long after goodbye.

But, for now,
All I can do is hope
That someday, someday
You know who you are.
