for you

Never judge a book by its cover, a song by its title, or a movie by its actors,

We all have stories and we all have our secrets,

We constantly judge each other from the way we look,

the way we talk, who we hang out with who we don't hang out with,

on the outside she looks normal,

young, pretty and happy, has everything she could ever want,

so it seems,

if you look deeper than her brown eyes, her caremel skin and curly hair,

you'll see that she is broken,

the scars she tries to hide get bigger and bigger each day,

the more you know, the more you see that her happiness is a lie,

I wirte for her,

the girl who hides from her past,

who is afraid to let anyone in because she doesn't know how they'd react if she told them the truth,

if she showed them the scars,

but she can't because if she does then society will brand her,

we as a whole cannot understand what everyone as an individual goes through,

like being judge because of ur skin tones, who we prefer to marry, man or woman,

we all are God's children and we all are equal,

so i write for the one who can't speak how they feel,

for those who feel trapped because of the judgement of others,

i write because its easier to let out the hard things when you sit down with a pen and paper,

rather than speaking out verbally and taking the chance of being judged,

i wirte for the freedom to express ourselves,

to be who we want to be,

not who society wants us to be,

i write for the person reading this right now,

i write for the people who are going to read this,

i write for my bestfriend who almost lost her life because of soceity jugding her,

i write for my mother and her pain,

my father and his troubled life,

my family who have been through hell and the hardest of times,

i write for the men and women who are bullied because they don't like who society thinks they should like,

for all the people who have been judged by another because of the way they looked or who they were,

i write for the unspoken words that we all long to say but nobody has the guts to,

i write for you,
