You

I turn from you

There is no anger

Just patience

You stay

You do not show me how you love me under sheets or with your mouth

You show me tenderness-- softness like petals

Safe

You make me feel safe. I am not driven towards self-destructiveness or self-loathing.

But towards self-love

I grow and flourish

You nurture me

You water me

I am the flowers, the trees, the grass, the bees, the nectar

You are the Sun and You are the Earth

I have forgotten anger, abuse, hate, absence, guilt, sadness, and shame

I will forever remember the warmth radiating from your heart

Oh the gentleness.

Oh

You.
