YOU

Falling asleep next to YOU is the best part of my night.

Waking up next to YOU is the best part of my day.

Our two souls, willingly unite,

And in human form, we lay.

With steady hand, I stroke your cheek,

Lovers too entranced to speak.

This image forever implanted in my mind.

I wonder why it took so long to find?

For loving YOU completes my being,

A feeling so natural,

Like a child dreaming.

YOU are the only one who truly sees me,

And with YOU as my equal,

Life will not defeat me.
