To You

So are you here?

or are you there?

I always ask you, but you never say whether you are here or there.

I want you to be here, but it seems like you would rather be there.

I could ask you what colour the sky is

But I think you would just challenge the very existence of it.

Because to you, in the end, we are just dust particles floating through space

With no real destination or purpose.

I just want you to see that you have a purpose to me

And I want you here not there

And the sky is just the beginning of what we could shoot for.

But it just gets harder and harder for me to get through to you.
