With You

When I'm with you, I don't feel alone.

I no longer have to roam

The earth and troll

For a like soul.

When I'm with you, I feel secure.

The anxiety flies away

Because you are my cure.

With you, I am okay.

When I'm with you, I can't not

Be happy.

With you I forgot

That I was ever unhappy.

When I'm without you,

I'm scared.

I think you must have

Mistaken love for lust.

When I'm without you

My mind subconsciously tries

To self-sabotage me

And feeds me lies

But then,

I'm with you again,

And all the lies fade away,

 I see the truth.

All my fears die along

With the ashes of the person

I had been before

You came into my life.
