you

Dear You,

I miss you, but not exactly

I miss your smell, the way you held me

I miss the way you made me feel

Until you became nasty

Your “I love you” turned into hatred

Your trust turned into jealousy

Your loyalty began to fade

And in your eyes, I was degraded

Your smile slipped away

Like rain off a windshield

And it was unmistakable

You no longer wanted to stay

You left me with our photos,

And heartache.

Which was more than I could bear.

I hope you are happy, with the life you have chose.
