You.
I am scared, scared to love you.
But it isn't like it matters, you aren't ready.
I can see you are scared,
scared of being hurt again.
I don't know who they are,
or what they did.
But I would never intentionally hurt you.
You say you aren't looking "for that type of thing" right now,
whilst you talk to others,
telling them they're cute.
I know I shouldn't pry,
but I did.
I know I shouldn't set you up for failure,
but I did.
What has been done is done,
it can't be taken back now.
You told me to be patient.
To wait,
the right one will come along.
Someone who will make all this pain worth it in the end
We have something,
something that is real.
Words can't explain the way you act around me.
The way your smile changes from seeing me.
Explain the nudges,
when you see me.
Explain your expectant sorrowful look,
as I turn away.
Your smile,
you laugh.
What we have is real,
and you know it.
One of just needs to speak up.
