you again.

I haven’t seen you In what feels like Eternity in reverse And forever upside down You never made sense to me. But I saw you Saw you walking your dog You stopped I stopped And as usual You scrambled my brain And my heart and soul Got lost in the tangle Couldn’t think Or talk. But I saw your dog And I spoke at him instead But I was asking you his name And you said Scout. And you walked away You left me with the echo of your pain And Wondering when I could breathe again And Asking about whoevers fist felt like it Was stuck in my stomach That’s what we were going to name Our dog. I have been squeezed out of your life But unknowingly I snuck back in Your shame. My pain. Im sorry Beyond it You never thought I tried But I was trying Long before You saw a problem So I wrote this to you And to your dog Thanks for The pain And regret Today. I will handle it With deep breaths And the elimination of your memory Just like I have Every other day Since you walked out With your finger pointed at me The whole time.
