You Alone
I see the hurt.
I see the pain.
I see the brokenness all around.
But no matter how I hope.
No matter how I try.
I can't glue this broken world back together.
It started with a crack.
That kept on getting bigger.
'Til it shattered into a million pieces
That can no longer being ignored.
This world is hurting.
Suffering.
Gasping from the pain
Wrought from its shattering fragments.
And I can't fix it.
I can't stop the crime
Or heal the disease
Rampaging all around.
I can only ease the pain
As I point to the only person
That can fix this broken world-
You.
You alone can stop the wars.
You alone can heal the sick.
You alone can pick up the pieces of this broken world
And glue them back together into something beautiful.
Only You.
So, I'm giving it to You.
The pain.
The hurt.
The suffering.
The brokenness.
Because, at the end of time,
You love this world
More than I ever could.
And You alone will exchange-
The pain for peace.
The hurt for hope.
The suffering for rejoicing.
The brokenness for everlasting love.
You alone.
