You and I
I am in love with you
It is apparent in my action.
Meeting you was a breakthrough
You could tell from my initial reaction.
You think that I am crazy
But I act this way because of you
I want to remain your African daisy
So, to those girls, you need to say “adieu”
I know that you love me
But sometimes it is hard to tell
You don’t seem to care who I see
Which makes me want to yell.
I see you wondering what it is that I want
And to that I have an answer
I want to be the one that you flaunt
And call “the best dancer”
I yearn for you to be protective of me
To not get upset when I read your messages
To sit with me and drink some ‘disgusting’ tea
And bond over our hate for hot beverages.
I love you with all my heart
My hope is that you stay with me
Even when I must fart
Because to my heart, you have the key.
