You and I

You said the veins would travel up my neck.

I suddenly would slip away.

A piece of me that the world could take

but something I wouldn't give

but I gave you so much

I let you read all my poems

I let you try to understand me

I chose the wrong person

I means my responsiblility

I means I as a person made a choice

You means not me

But the veins you held traveled up my back and into my neck

they wrapped around my throat and choked me until I didn't understand

I don't know what to do.

Lost within myself

I am so utterly disgusted.

I just wanna skin the layers of cells within my body

I want to hang myself out to dry

I want to torture my self

So I don't have to see you

or so you can see that I am hurt
