You And I Together
The days seem more lonely without you next to me
It's like they drag on like a never ending fog
I long to feel your comforting embrace
I need you here with me
To hear your voice as it says my name
To see your smiling face
To be free with you
I can't wait for the days where we will laugh and play
and lose ourselves in the memories as though we are kids and it's all we know
The days where trouble never seems a bother
and we can escape reality together
We can mend the brokenness that hides behind our eyes
and glue back the pieces of our troubled hearts.
We can keep the secrets that hide behind all of our lies
and we can create a new place just for you and I
where nothings perfect but everything is alright
because through it all we have each other to hold.
You'll be the paper and I'll be the pen
we can write our story together and it never has to end
because the memories keep us alive
as we create more I'll write them down to continue our story.
I can't wait to look in eyes and see all the beauty that abides
to hold your hand tight and remind you that we can't lose this fight
though the world may be against us we have our own place In each others hearts
so we don't have to try so hard to belong because each memory binds us closer as one
Each second without you is only a little pain that the time spent with you will take away.
As I wait the hour seems to slowly come along
and can't wait until you are near
