You and Me Kid
When you cry, I hold you tight,
I pray that you sleep sound at night.
You will never have to fear,
because trust me, I will always be here.
I am one phone call away,
and you best believe I will never leave you astray.
We have fought, yelled and screamed,
but I want you to know, none of that means a thing.
I want to take away every last tear,
I encourage you to fight your fears.
Even though it might ache to see you go,
I just want you to know, that I love you so.
I am proud of the person you have become,
and trust me the list goes on and on.
I want you to know that this is how realationships should go,
where we stand up for one another you know.
I will never let you down,
because I will always wear the crown.
You are there when I am weak,
to cheer me up with something god awfully sweet.
I wish nothing but the best for you,
because honestly I would want the same from you.
Being secretive and deceitful is never okay.
Just know that I am never too far from bay.
I will always be one kiss, hug, or laugh away.
It's you and me kid,
and I couldn't ask for anyone better.
We don't do any of this because we have to,
We do all of it and more because we were meant to say "I love you".
