You Are

You’re the hidden gem I was sent to search for

You’re the seed of strength inside my core

You’re the treasure I was obligated to obtain

You’re the smile on my face that will always stay

You’re the pearl I was urged to uncover

You’re the world I was directed to discover

You’re the risk I was tempted to take

You’re the heart I was to break

You’re the fantasy I was destined to find

You’re the poem I was meant to memorize

You’re the song I never want to stop singing

You’re the reason I’m still breathing

You’re a book and I want to read every word

Your value is higher than gold

You’re the words I write in bold

You’re the story I wanna be told

You’re the flower I was told was forbidden

But I just wouldn’t listen

You’re the tree that stands strong

You’re the drive back home that’s always long

You’re the reason I’m longing for

You’re the star that’s still shining

You’re the light that diminishes the darkness

You’re the answer to all my equations

You’re the promise God gave me

You’re the heart to my beat

You’re the goal I’m trying to achieve

You’re the air I’m breathing

You’re the history I wanna keep repeating

You’re the key to determining my dreams

You’re the burning fire inside of me

You’re the leap I keep leading

You’re the fireworks on the 4th of July that’s forever freeing
