You Are Anxiety

Dear You,

You Are Anxiety.

All the emotions kept up inside.  The sadness has been seen,

Anger has been brought out, but you keep building to the top.

Where are you trapped within my mind? Where is the line, how do I express you?

I can't get you out, you're stuck inside.

You're ruthless, painful, creating fog,

Fog like a poisonous gas engulfing my lungs.

Air constricted, barely breathing.

"Breathe In, Count to 5, Let it Out," how is that supposed to help?

When I already feel like I'm suffocating in my own skin.

You rush in and leave me speechless, running in with no warning.

You have me trapped in a bubble, waiting to burst.

Will you ever leave one day, never to return?

You, You are Anxiety.
