You are Me

I see my-self in everything you do

From your smile to your laugh

The way you walk as you pass on by

I've seen your pain and heard your fears

The cuts on your wrists

They do not define you

They say you are weak

They say you cant be right

You want to be perfect

But try as you might

They shoot you down.

Dark nights alone

With a blade and a wish

That they would all dissapear

But I know you

You are strong

You are hopefull

You are kind

You are the woman in the mirror

Who will taunt me and tell me im no good

But all I can do is sit up straight

And smile my sadness away.

One day I might be as strong as you

The woman I want to be.
