You Are My Hero

Dear Grandpa,

You are my hero,

Independent and strong,

Balancing right over wrong,

Grandpa, you are my hero.

Dear Grandpa,

You are my best friend,

Protective and caring,

Sweet but yet daring,

Grandpa, you are my best friend.

Dear Grandpa,

You are my counselor,

Old but yet wise,

With wisdom in your eyes,

Grandpa, you are my counselor.

Dear Grandpa,

You are not fake,

On Sunday morning you're proud of your name,

On Saturday night you're all just the same,

Grandpa, you are not fake.

Dear Grandpa,

You are not weak,

Stronger than any man I've met,

Stronger than any woe you've faced yet,

Grandpa, you are not weak.

Dear Grandpa,

You are not mean,

You are God's work of art,

Created with a big heart,

Grandpa, you are not mean.

Dear sweet Grandpa,

I love you,

I love your wisdom,

I love your heart,

I love your soul,

I love your kindness,

Oh Grandpa, I love you.

Love, Your grandaughter Sabrina.

This poem is about the greatest man I have ever met. I love my Grandpa dearly and believe he deserves to be recognized for the wonderful man he is.
