You are not alone

Every night I get on my knees to say a prayer,

I mutter your name into the air.

Im hoping that you'll hear my pleas,

Hoping that you'll draw nearer to me.

Oh, Jesus please!

I'm crying out for help because my heart is broken

and the tears won't stop flowing.

I just can't stand the pain.

But then I hear you say:

"Trust me through the rain,

Walk with me and you shall not faint.

I am reaching out my hand for you,

and I will love you through all you go through.

you see I was always there,

waiting for you to take my hand,

So I could lead you to the Promise Land."

His love is overwhelming as I fall on my face.

I'm just so grateful for his mercy and his grace.

im crying out in desperation,

trying to find a way out,

For I was slowly falling to temptation.

Lord, show me what your love is all about!

Then a soft, still voice spoke once more,

"I hear your cries For help,

i see your aching soul.

But you have to trust in me,

you have to know that you are not alone.
