You are not my Clyde after all
Loving each other was a crime,
Guilty! We plead, list'ning to the beat of our hearts drum.
I stepped one foot back but then saw how gritty
You are. You held my hand and what may come,
I know for certain, you'll always be my Clyde.
We both robbed people's stack of happiness
And together we ran away to hide.
But what came after this was emptiness.
Their cruel words, this heart-less world, the reasons
Why your hand let go of mine. You left me.
Great Depression became my friend this season.
You were hiding while mem'ries were haunting me.
Consequence has come and shot me with gun
That has bullets plated with their curse and
Reality that we were already done.
I thought you were the one, you were my man.
I love you even out of love, you fall.
But I guess you are not my Clyde after all.
