You Are Not a Thing..

If I could count the times life  has passed me by

If I could tell you all the things I have felt inside

If I could show you an image of all that you stole

If I could show you my shivers, my cold, sorry soul

I imagine you would still not stand by my side

I imagine you would still leave me to die

I imagine your face and the feelings inside

As you still slowly run, far away to hide

So tell me one thing, and I will surley not dwell

On the past that is gone, nowhere to be found

Tell me why I chose you, tell me why I can't hate

The choices you followed, the fate that you made

Tell me why in my misery, tell me why in my pain

I am stuck in reality, so close to my grave.

Tell me how you can stand, tell me how you can walk

While I imprison my hope and burn solid the lock

After all I have said, after all I have done,

I will lie on the island and think you will come

Because I needed you then, because I need you now

The choice on one thing, will be you, that I vow

So I will shout, so I will scream

So at the top of lungs I will sing

After all, to me, you are not just a thing..
