You Are Simple

You are simple
Bound with a simple thin leather title,
Naming yourself Holy.

You are simple words.
Telling me stories of dragons and dinosaurs that walked the Earth,
Thousands of years before I was even a thought.

You are the simple history.
The simple history of how the Earth and all its creatures came to be.
Guiding me to my beginning and end.

You are the simple love story.
Of the Might God dying for all His Children for those who also chose him.
A Might Father saving His daughter. Saving me.

You are the simple law.
You guide me to paradise with simple actions
With simple gentleness helping me become more like You.

You are the simple songs.
The songs we praise and worship as You sing along.
They never grow tired and never grow old.

You are the simple wisdom.
The wisdom that walks us to the right path.
The knowledge that brings us to You.

You are my simple peace.
I’m never anxious or depressed when I’m in Your word
You are my comfort in my times of need.

You are my simple desires.
You are most Ancient and made me in Your image
And you tell me of Our home within Your book.

Every time I look and read,
New things and new means show themselves to me.
But they aren’t complicated. They are simple like You.
