You Are Still Here

You are still here

alive and breathing.

I can still look into your eyes,

I can see your chest rise and fall

with ever breath.

You are still here

I can talk

And you will listen.

You still hear every word

that I gently whisper.

You are still here

miles away,

But I can still visit.

You are still here

your mind is not.

Your memory is not.

You are still here,

but you are gone.

You are still here

until you're not.
