You Are Strong

And life

That blessed mother

She has her favorites

She gifts the evil

And destroys the good

And you are the best of them

So when life keeps hitting you

When each punch and kick follows another

Just know my dear

You did nothing wrong

I don’t know why life hates us

I don’t know how we’re in the wrong

But I have my theories

And my strongest one is this

Those who survive greater punishment

Shall receive the greater reward.
