With you beside the calm waters

On a lonely beach,
Within the oceans reach
I walk with you, hand in hand
Our fingers intertwined.

I turn and look behind us
Tracing your footsteps,
I see them fade into the forever
A pair of footprints beside mine.

Floating in the breeze
Your tresses brush my face
Calm prevails here
As you walk alongside me.

I close my eyes, and I feel your presence
Always with me.
With you beside me
What need I for other company.
