You Bring Happiness
Wet noses
shivering body
drenched
in regret
alone and unhappy.
A tail unwagged
simply forgotten
wishing for the love
they have never known.
Hoping for a home
where company
is plentiful
a house never empty
filled by laughter
of a puppy wanted.
