You brought the Light

They say there is light at the end of a tunnel

But it seems like its nothing but a long dark funnel

tumbling down spiraling out of control

where did i end up i do not really know

i sat in this darkness feeling pathetic and weak

i could not look up or even speak

but then i saw light shining in the dark

a roaring flame a beautiful spark

you reached for my hand and held on tight

you restored my strength so i could get up and fight

you showed me the beauty that always present in the dark

all by simply lighting a spark

you made me smile and wipe my away my tears

you showed me true beauty throughout the years

you made me laugh when i was mad

brought out a grin whenever i was sad

you woke me up from the dark

definitely made your mark

i am thankful for you in my life

in this darkness you brought the light

my love is ever growing for you

and everything i feel i am proud to be true

i need you in my life from dusk to dawn

without you there it just feels wrong

i claim this to be absolutely true

because i love you

thank you for bringing the light

thank you for restoring my fight

i need you because you chased away the dark

and left an ever burning spark

you brought the light and ignited a spark

you chased away the never ending dark
