You Can Hear The Sound

Does a tree make a sound when it falls in the forest?

Does a person when they fall?

Can you hear them crying themselves to sleep over and over again?

Does it help to act like you don't notice?

Their tears are melting like glaciers into the fabric of their clothes.

Their eyes red as blood.

You can't pretend to not hear them.

Their soul is clawing out their chest.

Their heart a blubbering mess.

Tears they cry speak a thousand words.

Every part of them crying to be heard.

I promise if you listen you can hear it all.

Everyone heard Humpty's fall.
