You Did This

    Dear You,

I'd lay in the sheets with my mind screaming at me full blast.

"How could you allow him to do these things to you? Fight for yourself damnit!'

But I was in love. Or I thought I was. I forced myself to ignore all the warnings.

I'd convince my heart and brain that this was how love was supposed to be.

That love wasnt supposed to be filled with falling asleep in your arms and

waking up to see your beautiful smile. That love was supposed to be filled

with being alone, falling asleep alone and waking up with your body smothering

mine.

But you gave me the love I thought I deserve. I told myself I must have done

something to cause all this pain. That you were right, if I would just listen

everything wouldn't hurt.

But now? Now Im stronger. I know love is filled with emotins good and bad. That

love isn't controling, that it isn't supposed to be forced, and it isn't supposed to

end like you ended it. I can't forget you. But I will forgive you. You made me

see how love shouldn't be. And you are a mistake I learned from. I can only hope

you learned from it too.
