You Don't Love Me

You don't love me

You love the idea of me

You love the flow, the thought

The idiosyncrasies I have developed

You don't love me

You see yourself in me

Similar, yes, but different

Someone you can fall in love with

Theoretically at best

You don't love me

I tell myself day in and day out

You don't love me

For a million different reasons

And yet

I wish you did

And I wish I knew why
