You don’t got a friend in me

They say I am there friend
They say they love me
Yet where are they when I need them

I sit across from them
All there inside jokes fill the room
I am trying not to drown
As I fake a laugh there
And a smile there

When did this all happen
When did I start looking from the outside
Why can I do longer breath when I am with you
