You Have To Be My Friend

You have to be my friend.

The type that knows me like the back of my hand, that friend.

You're the one I  run to when I have problems, because when problems come to me you always help me solve them.

That type of friend.

I got your back just like you got mine.

We always put each other first, we don't believe in No Friend Behind.

As bestfriends it will forever be us against the world.

Because since I met you, my whole world has twirled.

But for the better.

Because I love you and you love me our love will forever be deeper than the sea.

That type of love.

I have no better communication skills with anyone else because I found the person that understands the meaning of listening before tasting what their words felt.

It is the same exact person that understands the meaning behind closed mouths don't get fed.

We don't play the guessing game, we just say what we do and do what we said.

Yes, we are that friend.

That friend that's your friend 'til the end.

See, because when I'm with you it feels like it's just the two of us.

That's how it's supposed to be when you know it's true love.

That protection that a momma bear has for her cub. That love.

Because when you're that friend, you'll know if the right decision to make is truly the right one.

And the trust within the friendship is just something unbreakable.

When your lips can meet where words were once said.

When the hug was so good when you release you're sad.

That's that type of love.

That build each other up and run the world together. That love.

See I have to think about all of this when it comes to a healthy relationship.

I don't want to jump the broom without having all my beliefs, feelings, and ideas at an agreement.

Because I need that love.

Finding someone that put in the same dedication, acknowledging each other's appreciation, so taking each other for granted is completely out of the equation, all while enjoying each other important celebrations, laughing and smiling enjoying each other's positive sensation.

That's love.

For me to jump the broom with someone takes a lot out out of me.

So when deciding who to do it with I remember that they have to be my friend first because that is the key.
