You Look Lovely Today

Can I just say…you look lovely today?

Honey, please drop the knife,

Wipe your tears,

You are lovely.

Everyone brings you down.

One day, you will prove them wrong

One day, you will make them regret EVERYTHING they did to you.

Honey, you are lovely.

You are strong and independent.

I am proud of you.

You’re still here.

You suffered a lot…but you are still here.

Insecure,

Bulimic,

Depressed.

“Sick.”

THESE WORDS DO NOT DEFINE YOU!

You are you!

Not your name, nor your favorite color.

You are beyond

Unique,

Beautiful,

Strong.

One day you will shine your way out of the black hole they managed to bury you in.

You are still here.

THEY WILL NEVER WIN!

At your darkest hour,

Always remember,

You look lovely today.
