You Look Like Me

Children! Of Entitled wives and mothers who hold their heads high in esteem for jobs their husbands break their backs over. Children! Of Lazy husbands and fathers that pool their fingers in grease sifting through a potato chip bag, hoping their kids just please Please shut up. Children, you all look like me. To the hearts broken from a life spent with another, how many years is it, down the drain? You look like me. To those with bodies funny and obvious, voices too low to be heard, and a sense of courage stuck behind a rock, you look like me. For those cast aside by family, with little money and no where to go, and a future certain to be unforgiving, you look like me. But my mirror is broken, and I cannot see.
