You, Me
You, me
Is all there'll ever be
You my kind friend, me my unworthy self
You my beautiful lover, me my insecure and pungent heart
You, faithful and trusting hope, holding on to me, my fearful and shaky grasp, always letting go your promises and dreams
I wonder what I'll be without you, spiteful and unflinching fear because I'll be a brighter and better me if void of you, hateful and regretful mistakes of the past
But I have accepted you and your despicable torture of nightmares and tears
For as for me, my forgiven and scared soul, its on to the future, goodbye perdition and soul vultures
You, the past and your failures, have no longer a hold on me, my experienced and stronger mind
I made it past you, weaknesses and cursed fate, me, unyielding belief and faith
You, monotonous, grey, cruel and arduous world, me, shadow of meager worth, misunderstood, lonely and etched in naught
Still I can't forget any, of you, beautiful and colourful world, graced with friendship, love and light which make me feel alive, happy and ablaze with confidence, trust and hope
You, me
All there ever was and will ever be
Whoever, whatever, wherever and however you be, that I be
Its always going to be just this forever
You, me.
