You need you

If loving others is a divine art

loving yourself is how you start

If accepting others is the growth of

your perception

How is accepting yourself

an oddity or objection?

The stuff with which you build others up

is there to be used to make your home first

Why would you knock the doors

to have them in your face shut

and your honour&pride

maimed and hurt?

Buckle up!

build a home

inside yourself

that you shall ever own

one that

never deserts you alone.

If welcoming someone is generosity

an act of magnanimity indeed

how is welcoming oneself

selfish and mean?

Be the one to fulfil your need

and make sure

you get your meed

In the world of charlatans,

you're either somebody or nobody.

Ruling others doesn’t make one a ruler of one’s self

Dominion over brains and spirit,

weaves the way up the pitch-dark delf

You’re your balm

the source of love and warms

why worry

about redressing the harms

?

Don’t shrink little

nor break as anything brittle

They might strip you off like a piece of refuse

Be glad to be of your own use

play a tune

serenading the mind

that inspires the muse

Rouse the powers

laying dumb, dull and still

in deep torpor

Paint who you are

in the glow of flame

that sparks up a fire

eating away your

pocks and scars

Imitation is suicide

dredge up your gleams & glitters

that went nowhere to hide
