You Needed

You needed stupid.

Stupid enough to believe your throne of lies.

To worship your sins and glorify your violence.

you needed meek and timid

but fiery and hot

a mouse in garish red.

You needed a painting to show off

but to shove in a closet when you grew bored of looking at it

knowing that it would always stay there

No. No longer will I be that painting.

I am a lion and a mouse,

working in tandem

I am beautiful and frightening

I am a force.

I will dress in red, but for myself.

I will be an animated, 3 dimensional person,

lashing out and I will not apologize.

I will not stay silent and sit but

stand and roar

and you will know me.

I will know me.

I will see that this is what I needed.
