You Only Call Me When It's Raining Out

The first time our eyes met I knew,

There was something there

And when your hand touched mine

Sparks flew through the air

Day after day, night after night

I never lost sight of what felt so right

The ups and downs as the feelings grew,

I never thought it would be me and you

But things changed and so did I,

When the sunny skies turned to midnight cries

A lightning bolt struck me downn

But you will never see me make a frown

The rain has stopped for 8 days now

I'm still stuck in what couldn't be

Just wish we were back to the way things used to be

It was raining out when I got the news today,

I was just another game you played

You popped back in my life

Eve after all this time

I still fell the same way when I look into your eyes

The way you walk in the roomk still lights up the sky

Everyday the feelings change

This all still feels so strange

Every night I wonder if you only knew

That it will always be me and you
