You Only Write Once Scholarship Slam

It’s Time…Maybe

It’s time to let go

Time to give up

To face reality, and know that as much as I want it

As much as I want you to want it

I will never have it

Holding hands, facing judgment with a smile on

Kissing for the first time

Floating on cloud twelve

Because cloud nine just wasn’t good enough for us

It’s time to live for goals

And not for fantasies

It’s time for living…maybe

Or maybe there’s still time for hope

Still time for my knight to whisk me away

Take me to the farthest reaches of my imagination

Maybe there’s time for reality tomorrow

Maybe I don’t want reality to come tomorrow

Or the next day

Or even the next day

Maybe, just maybe, you’ll find me in my dreams tonight

I’ll be waiting…
