You Still Remain

These are the days I wish you were here.

The days where everyone aggervates me

and you just hold me until I smile.

I love your smile.

The way your eyes get squinty.

And your laugh,

it brightens my day alone.

Why did you have to go?

You said it would only be temporary.

Somehow temporary turned into forever.

They miss you, y'know?

The boys, your best friends.

More like your brothers.

They didn't believe it,

that you were never coming back.

The first week was the hardest.

It felt like a piece of all of us left with you.

We cried until nothing was left.

Well I've got to go now,

the boys will be here any minute.

If you ever hear me,

just know that I will

never

stop loving you.
