you taught me

                                                                                     You Taught Me

Nana, look at what you taught me.

You taught me how to forgive, even when the worst was did.

And how to smile even when the pain was bad.

Nana, you taught me how to love, although my heart was cold.

And I can't forget how to laugh, because you never know when it could be your last.

But what you didn't teach me is how to do these things without you.

But Nana, I did learn that you're always here. In my heart, spirit, and most definitely always on my mind.

Nana, you taught me how to live knowing you'll alwyas be on my mind.
