You told me I was

Sun, 03/13/2016 - 01:04 -- CH

You told me I was beautiful,

coated me with your powder sugar.

You told be I was a barbie doll,

caressed me with your sticky caramel.

You told me I was a genius,

charmed me with your oozing sap.

You told be I was a somebody,

coddled me with your viscous candy.

You said I was yours!

You said I made you proud!

You said I was,

I was everything to you!

Where are You now?

I look around me,

and see melting pools of sweets,

You reflecting of its muddy hue.
